Hey Gartonia! We've officially moved to http://lggame.wikia.com now! As such, I would encourage all activity to be moved over there. Oh, and when you're at the wiki, be sure to check out the following pages:
And, finally, The "Storyline Discussion" page, where team members can influence the writers' decisions! Please note that it is advised that only writers use the Storyline Board, and that other team members use the storyline discussion page.
Well, that's it! Go and explore! :D
Also, sorry for the slightly-late notification. I've been incredibly busy lately, and it took me a while to get around to notifying the LUA members of the move. :P
Hey Gartonia. The voting results are up, but I'll be inactive the next five days because of exams. As such, please refer regularly to the LG wiki for new developments decided on by Boba and Matt during this time. If you have any questions, please ask them or BlueJay. Thanks. :-)
Hey ErkelonJay. While I am open to finding ways to make the message private, in this case I believe Gartonia was aware that the message was public, so I'll be restoring the message. If I am mistaken, Gartonia, please tell me and I'll remove it again. :-)
Thank you both very much for your concern, I did, however, know that it was a non-private forum when I left the message. I intended for people to use it in case they needed to contact me on stuff regarding the game. Thank you once again for your concern.
Hey Gartonia. This project is merging with the LEGO Galaxy and Balance of Power teams, so that we can put all of our efforts together to make a truly amazing game! As we work to set a new storyline and organizational structure for the new, combined project, we would greatly appreciate seeing our members' comments on this blog! http://legogalaxygame-at.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Zaxzax12/Ultimate_Merge/Fan-Made-LEGO-Game_solution Speak now; your voice now determines not only the fate of LUA, but all three projects! :D
Not exactly from scratch. I'm sure the teams can keep a large part of their LDD models, .blend files, code, and textures, but the storyline will be new for the most part. Don't worry, though, it seems like some of the worlds that were in LUA may stay, like the snow world and castle world. :-)
I have very very unfortunate news. My computer got a virus. There was a lot of what appears to be random erasing. Most of the files relevant to the project that were on my computer have been destroyed. I will begin construction on them once again, however I will need more time and leniency. I would like to drop work on the login page, it's just too depressing trying to rewrite all of the code that I had written. However I can take up work on modelling and logo desiging. I have experience in both those areas. Just let me know what you want.

Sorry to hear about the virus. :-( That's fine about the log-in screen; you can do some modelling instead. :-)
As for modelling, the main things I can think of right now that we may need are minifigure hairpieces, rocks and trees, and "cyborg" arms and legs (such as the Agents arms and Rodney's robotic leg). If you have any other ideas on what may be needed, though, please suggest them. :-)
Recently, project members have been focusing on reducing inactivity among members as well as organizing new ideas and creations in a way where they won't conflict too much with each other. As such, we will be performing two actions. First, we will be removing inactive members from the team list in one week if they do not begin contributing or giving a good, specific, and fairly-definitive description of when they will be able to contribute again. For example, I know you said you have been busy lately, but we still need to plan ahead, so just a description of your current situation would be fine in your case. :-)
Now, there will also be a different method of contributing. Instead of using the wiki, we will be using a forum. This new method of contributing is described in User blog:BrickfilmNut/A New Direction, and a link to the new forums will also be added to the blog in the very-near future. As a writer, you should also check out User blog:BrickfilmNut/A Special Note to the Writers, which details what type of written work will be accepted. Thank you for your cooperation; I hope we can increase activity and organization through this new way of doing things. :-)
Gartonia wrote: I'm ready to start work, what should I begin on? I need the rest of the login team to work on a 'create account' feature and I can work on the actual log in itself.
Woah, you replied fast! :P I wish all other team members did. ;-)
Anyway, we're not really at the point were we need a log-in screen (which is, honestly, why I probably wouldn't have removed you from the team after a week anyway), but you can definitely start designing one and showing us some visuals of your ideas. :-) Also, I see that you are listed as a writer. Do you want to continue being listed as one? Also, if you run out of things to do for the log-in screen, is there another job you'd like to apply for?
I can write as necessary, just let me know what I need to do. Also, what do you need model wise? I can create models in Blender fairly easy, and send them to you. I won't be able to animate them, but I can send you the models.

Um, okay, let me see. For writing, right now we're mainly getting a sense of our writers' style, though this will change once we have our central storyline straightened out. A good thing to start with may be a script for the training academy level, starting from the point where BlueJay leaves off here. For Blender, one of the hardest parts right now is hairpieces. :P Some models of these would be a big help.
